Aeroitalia, a carrier founded in 2021 and which operates a network concentrated in Italy, has signed a wet lease agreement with Marathon Airlines to add an Embraer E175 starting in 2025.
The outsourced service will run between March 30 and October 25 and will focus on domestic routes mainly such as Milan-Catania, Rome-Comiso, Aeroroutes reported.

The airline has a fleet that includes 11 Boeing 737s (nine 737-800s and two 737-400s), one Airbus A319 and two ATR 72s.
Marathon operates three E175s configured with 88 seats, which is much smaller than its 737s (189 seats) and more suitable for lower-demand routes.
Grounded aircraft
Marathon Airlines’ three E175s were parked. Aircraft SX-ASK and SX-KAA have been parked at Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport for months, while SX-MTO arrived at the airport in November.
The jet was flying for Camair-Co under a wet lease until November 21, when it flew back to Europe.
