Air Serbia finally debuted revenue flights with its first Embraer E195 on October 23.
The leased aircraft, registration YU-ATB, had been with the flag carrier for months and was supposed to enter service in June.
The 118-seat E195’s first route was between Belgrade and Podgorica, but on Wednesday the aircraft also flew between the Serbian capital and Tivat.

Air Serbia’s schedule included flights to Istanbul, but there were no records of these taking place.
The carrier sees the Embraer aircraft as an attractive alternative for regional routes, but until recently it relied on wet-lease agreements to have the jets.
Initially, there was an agreement with the Greek Marathon Airlines, but an incident in early 2024 caused Air Serbia to terminate the contract. The YY-ATB jet was even flying with the outsourced company.
Shortly after, Air Bulgaria began supplying E190 aircraft with crew and service to Air Serbia, but the plan is for the airline itself to have a large fleet of E-Jets.
According to CEO Jiri Marek, up to 15 of these aircraft may be incorporated in the future.
Given the potential of the new customer, Embraer recently took a demonstration E195-E2 to Serbia, where it was presented to Air Serbia.
