After two months of some recovery, Airbus saw a significant drop in deliveries in August, with 47 commercial jets sent to customers.
The total was five aircraft below August 2023 and 30 units below July, when 77 aircraft had been delivered.
In the period between January and August, Airbus delivered 447 aircraft, just 14 more than last year, a small increase of 3.2%.

The planemaker now has to deliver 323 jets in the next four months to reach the target of 770 aircraft in 2024.
The European company’s performance has been below expectations precisely in the family of aircraft with the most accumulated orders, the A320neo.
The A320neo version, for example, had only 12 aircraft delivered last month, the worst result of the year. The A321neo, Airbus’s greatest success, added 24 more jets and is only one aircraft ahead of 2023.
The A220 family is the one that expanded deliveries the most, with 8%, but its share is small in the total, with only 40 aircraft delivered in the year.
Among the widebodies there was a slight growth of 6%, represented by three more aircraft than last year.
13 aircraft ordered in the year
In terms of orders, Airbus added 46 orders to its backlog, including 30 A330neos from Cathay Pacific, 10 A220-300s from AirBaltic and six jets for undisclosed private customers.
These future operators ordered three A320neos and three A350-900s.
The total net orders in 2024 reached 413 aircraft.
