Airbus had its best month for commercial aircraft deliveries in June, but it was not enough to maintain growth for 2023.
According to the company, 67 jets were delivered last month, five less than in the same month of 2023. As a result, total deliveries in the 1st half reached 323 planes, just 2.2% higher than the same period last year.
The manufacturer had already revised its guidance for 2024, projecting to deliver 770 instead of 800 aircraft.

This means that to reach the target it will be necessary to deliver another 447 planes in the second half of the year. Last year, Airbus delivered 419 aircraft from July to December.
A321neo equals numbers
The A321neo continues to be the most delivered type in 2024 and had its best month in June with 34 deliveries, which brought the total for the semester to 147 aircraft, equaling the numbers for 2023.
The A320neo had another average month, with 19 deliveries. Airbus has not delivered any A319neos so far, but has sent four A220-100s to its customers versus none in 2032.
Among the widebodies, the A350-900 reached 17 aircraft delivered while the A350-1000 went blank and ended the semester with just four deliveries.
The A330-900 had 13 deliveries, one more than last year, while the A220-300 had 24 aircraft delivered, one less than in the previous period.
Net orders for 310 aircraft
Among the June orders are 30 A350-900s from a deal with IndiGo, two A321neos for Uzbekistan Airways and 36 A321neos and one A350-900 for undisclosed customers.
Airbus Defense has also added four A330-200s that will be converted to MRTT transport and aerial refueling aircraft.
At the same time, the planemaker reported 17 cancellations, which resulted in net orders reaching 310 aircraft.
