Irish company signed firm order for 10 aircraft and 10 purchase options during Dubai Airshow
Abelo has 20 firm orders for the ATR 72-600 (ATR)

ATR announced at the Dubai Airshow an agreement to sell up to 20 ATR 72-600 turboprops to lessor Abelo, from Ireland.

The signed contract includes 10 firm orders and 10 purchase options, with deliveries scheduled for 2026 to 2028.

Abelo had already closed another similar deal in 2022, in which it ordered 10 ATR 72-600 and confirmed an agreement for 10 ATR 42-600S, the Short Take-Off and Landing version.

“Our aim is to expedite the transition from older aircraft to the most advanced, low-emission technologies, and ATR turboprops have emerged as the top choice for achieving this objective,” said Steve Gorman, the Chief Executive Officer of Abelo.

“With a total of 30 ATRs ordered, Abelo’s continued commitment to ATR is a testament to the strong market demand for fuel-efficient and cost-effective turboprops,” added Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, ATR’s Chief Executive Officer.

Abelo’s first new ATR 72 will be delivered before the end of this year.
