ATR will exhibit at its stand at the Paris Air Show two versions of the ATR 72-600, an ATR 72-600F freighter from FedEx and the first turboprop equipped with PW127XT engines from Azul Linhas Aéreas.
The information had been anticipated by the organization of the event and was confirmed by the manufacturer of the turboprop this week.
Azul’s ATR 72 will be displayed statically while a FedEx ATR 72-600F freighter will participate in the in-flight demonstrations.

The PR-YXB turboprop should be delivered shortly afterwards to the Brazilian carrier, where it will be the first model with the new Pratt & Whitney PW127XT engines on the continent.
More efficient, the new version of the PW127 engine emits 45% less CO2 than regional jets of the same size, says ATR.
The new series features an increased capacity low pressure compressor, a new high pressure turbine module, improved efficiency power turbine module and a new gas generator box with an improved oil distribution system.
This means an engine capable of consuming 3% less fuel, remaining installed on the wings for 40% longer and thus reducing maintenance costs by 20%.
