Images of Azul Cargo’s first Airbus A321P2F were shared on social media on Monday, showing the aircraft practically ready.
The Airbus, which is one of two of the type leased by AerCap to the Brazilian airline, will debut a new two-tone blue paint job and the name “Cargo Blue”.
Azul will strengthen its cargo fleet with the aircraft, which is capable of transporting up to 28 tons, well above the Boeing 737-400F that operates with the company (20.5 tons).

Azul’s first A321P2F received the registration PS-AJA and has already accumulated almost 19 years in service.
The aircraft debuted with China Southern Airlines in 2006, where it flew until August of last year.
The A321, equipped with IAE 2500 engines, was returned to AerCap and underwent a cargo conversion process between March and August in Guangzhou, China.
The Airbus last flew on September 9, still with its previous registration, OE-IAW, according to FlightRadar24.
The second A321P2F, registration PS-AJB, also flew with China Southern until the beginning of this year, when it underwent the same conversion process.
