On June 15, Azul Linhas Aéreas received the 21st E195-E2 from Embraer, registration PS-AEU.
The 136-seat aircraft is the first of a “package” of 13 jets scheduled for 2024 announced by the Brazilian carrier in April, although it was already included in reports sent to investors.
According to Azul’s plans, an average of two jets will be received in the second half of the year, bringing the aircraft fleet to 33 E195-E2s at the end of the year.

The PS-AEU is also the first E195-E2 delivered to Azul in 2024. Before it, Embraer had delivered a similar aircraft (PS-AES) on December 15, leased by Azorra.
Azul currently has the second largest fleet of E2 jets in the world, only behind Porter Airlines. The Canadian airline has received 34 E195-E2s in just 18 months.
Despite this, Azul stated that it is “the largest operator of Embraer’s latest generation jets, the E195-E2 model” and that it also holds “the largest purchase order for this Brazilian aircraft”.
Officially, the airline founded by David Neeleman appears with 51 firm orders in Embraer’s backlog, none of which have been delivered so far, while Porter has 75 orders.
Azul was the launch customer of the E195-E2, the largest aircraft in the E-Jet family, which is capable of carrying up to 146 passengers.
