Boeing completed delivery of its 100th 767-300BCF on February 14. The aircraft was converted to cargo by GAMECO in Guangzhou and was delivered to fellow Chinese carrier SF Airlines.

The 767-300BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter) program was launched in the 2000s and saw its first aircraft enter service in 2008 with ANA in Japan.

The widebody aircraft undergoes a transformation process that results in a cargo aircraft capable of carrying up to 56.5 tons (124,600 pounds) and flying 3,345 nautical miles (6,190 km).

“During our development journey, the 767-300BCF has played a crucial role. Since the first 767-300BCF was put into operation in 2016, this model has become the backbone of our network operation due to its excellent performance,” said Li Gang, Vice President of Maintenance of SF Airlines.

Air Europa debut in 2001

The 100th 767-300BCF was originally delivered to Air Europa in March 2001, where it flew until November 2008, when it had a brief stint with Garuda Indonesia on a lease basis.

The aircraft, configured with 263 seats in two classes, returned to Air Europa in January 2009 and was retired from service three years later.

ILFC, then the owner of the 767, leased it to Russian airline Transaero, where it operated until 2016 and then was leased to Condor, Germany.

SF Airlines took over the aircraft in December 2023 to be converted to cargo the following year. The Shenzen-based carrier has a total of 23 767s, plus 43 757s, four 747s and 18 737 freighters.
