Since it began receiving its first Airbus A220-300s, Breeze Airways has planned to retire the second-hand Embraer E190s and E195s with which it debuted its operations.
But the Utah-based carrier has frequently revised this plan and postponed the end of E-Jets flights.
Previously scheduled for the end of last year, the Embraer retirement is now projected for mid-2026, according to Aviation Week.
Breeze currently has 13 E-Jets in service, including 10 E190s with 108 seats, and three E195s with 124 seats.

They are based in New Orleans, operating flights in the southeastern United States, but also operating some routes in the Midwest.
The large fleet of 35 A220-300s (137 seats), in turn, is used on a wide network of flights on the East Coast and also on routes that cross the country to the Pacific.
Breeze has a firm order for 90 A220-300s, of which 15 aircraft were received last year. The E-Jets have had four aircraft returned so far, all of them E195 models.
International flights
Founded by David Neeleman, the entrepreneur who created JetBlue and the Brazilian Azul, Breeze Airways debuted in May 2021 with an affordable and uncomplicated service proposal.
The strategy has been to offer flights between medium-sized cities in the US, in order to attract an audience that has alternatives to long routes with connections.
The airline’s next step is to launch international flights, initially to the Caribbean and in the future to some European destinations.
To this end, Breeze is awaiting approval for ETOPS status and becoming a flag carrier, which is expected for 2025.
