During the Farnborough Airshow, Textron Aviation unveiled enhancements to the flight decks of the Cessna Caravan and Grand Caravan EX single-engine utility aircraft.
According to the Wichita-based company, both aircraft now feature new backlit panels, along with other amenities designed to enhance the pilot experience.
In addition, the Caravan and its larger sibling the Grand Caravan now feature a wider boarding ladder for easier access to the captain’s side of the aircraft, four circular and adjustable air vents, two USB-C charging ports in place of the 12V power adapter and two additional ports on the right sub-panel for the co-pilot, among other features.

“The enhancements to the Cessna Caravan flight deck demonstrate our continued commitment to providing the best possible flight experience for our customers,” said Christopher Crow, vice president, Piston and Utility Sales. “Our ongoing investments in this family of aircraft continue to build on the Caravan’s nearly 40-year history of success as the utility aircraft of choice for customers around the world.”
The enhancements will be available in 2025 and will become standard on all new Caravan and Grand Caravan EX aircraft.
The Cessna Caravan is one of the most popular aircraft in the civil aviation segment, whether for passenger, cargo or other missions.
Textron has delivered more than 3,000 aircraft that operate in nearly 100 countries with nearly 24 million flight hours accumulated since its introduction into service in 1985.
