Embraer announced a significant order for Phenom 300E business jets on Monday. The customer is known for a long time, NetJets, a company dedicated to the fractional purchase of aircraft, and which closed an agreement for up to 100 jets, including firm orders and options.

NetJets’ first new Phenom 300E will be delivered in the second quarter of 2023. The business jets will be used in the US and Europe, according to the company.

The total value of the deal comes to $1.2 billion if the options are exercised in the future. NetJets already operates dozens of Embraer aircraft, having closed the first deal in 2010. At the time, 50 Phenom 300s were purchased in addition to 75 options.

“We are pleased to have signed this significant deal with NetJets, as our strategic partnership has been an integral part of Embraer’s success for over a decade,” said Michael Amalfitano, President & CEO of Embraer Executive Jets.

NetJets has been an Embraer customer for 11 years

“For years, the Embraer Phenom 300 has been an integral part of the NetJets fleet. With this order for the Phenom 300E, we continue to provide our Owners with the exceptional travel experiences they have come to expect, as well as continue our significant partnership with Embraer,” said Doug Henneberry, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Asset Management at NetJets, Inc.

The Phenom 300 has been Embraer’s best-selling business aircraft in recent years. In the first half of 2021 alone, the jet had 20 deliveries, or 60% of all business jets shipped to customers in that period.
