Embraer managed to deliver 16 commercial jets in Q3 and has reached a total of 42 aircraft delivered to customers so far in 2024.

The number is slightly higher than ADN’s forecast, which had indicated at least 15 aircraft. The previously unidentified jet was delivered to Porter Airlines, from Canada, which now has 42 E195-E2s in its fleet.

Although deliveries have increased compared to the 3rd quarter of 2023, Embraer is far from the target it set for 2024.

The company expected to deliver at least 72 jets this year, but aims to reach 80 deliveries, which would be the best result post-pandemic.

Therefore, it will be necessary to deliver at least 30 aircraft between October and December, which Embraer achieved in 2022, but not in 2023, when it delivered 25 jets.

Supply chain difficulties have affected all major aircraft manufacturers, and Embraer does not seem to be any different.

Between July and September, 10 E195-E2s were delivered (six to Porter, two to Azul and two to LOT), four E175s (three to Republic and one to Skywest) and two E190-E2s (one to Royal Jordanian and one to Scoot).

So far this year, we have 21 deliveries of the E195-E2, 15 of the E175 and six of the E190-E2.

Virgin Australia E190-E2 (Embraer)

Backlog drops to 374 aircraft

There is a clear trend showing a decline in deliveries of the E175, a very popular regional jet in the US, while the E2s are growing. However, this pace has not been the same so far.

Embraer recorded only one order for commercial aircraft in the 3rd quarter, for Virgin Australia, which ordered eight E190-E2s in August.

With this, the backlog of orders fell from 382 to 374 jets. There are 199 E2 and 175 E1 models to be delivered.
