Amid supply chain challenges, Embraer has managed to deliver two more E195-E2s to Binter Canarias, the carrier said on November 18.
The aircraft named “Baleares” and “Vigo” were delivered in October and began operating revenue flights on November 7 and 9.
Binter Canarias is one of the largest operators of the E2 jets, now with 12 aircraft out of an order for 16 E195-E2s.

The first three 132-seat jets were delivered in December 2019, with two more aircraft to be added in 2021, part of the first order.
The good performance has motivated the Canary Islands carrier to place new orders. In December of last year, three E195-E2s were received simultaneously and another aircraft arrived in May of this year.
The airline has expanded its route network and started flying to Madrid, Spain.
Deliveries below expectations
In addition to Binter, Embraer made another double delivery of E195-E2s to KLM Cityhopper last week. The PH-NXU jet arrived in Amsterdam on November 16, while the PH-NXT has not yet been integrated into the fleet.
Despite the deliveries, the Brazilian planemaker has been affected by supply chain issues, which have delayed the jet shipment schedule for 2024.
Embraer now expects to deliver up to 73 commercial aircraft this year, which would represent nine more jets than in 2023.
