Embraer has closed another order for A-29 Super Tucano aircraft but, as it did with a recent C-390 deal, did not disclose the customer.
According to the company, six turboprops for advanced training and light attack were acquired and will be delivered starting in 2026.
“We are thrilled to announce new sales of the A-29 Super Tucano, as we see this aircraft as the right fit for many nations around the world,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security. “The A-29 is the global leader in its category because it’s a proven, reliable and well advanced aircraft.”

With the new order, Embraer has secured the sale of 30 Super Tucanos this year, 12 of which are the new A-29N variant, which meets NATO requirements.
The first customer was Paraguay, which ordered six turboprops, followed by Uruguay, with another six aircraft.
A few weeks ago, Portugal signed a contract for 12 A-29Ns, which will have the local industry participating in their manufacture.
The Super Tucano had not received any new orders since 2021 and several “white tail” aircraft had been produced and stored awaiting new customers.
