Emirates Airline announced this week the return of the Dubai-Rio de Janeiro-Buenos Aires flight, which will take place from 2 November.

In a first stage, four weekly flights will be carried out with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, but the goal is to make the frequency daily from February 2023.

Flights to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires were suspended due to the pandemic. Emirates has returned to South America, but only to São Paulo, first with the Boeing 777 and months ago with the Airbus A380.

“Emirates is very happy to be able to operate this route again. We always seek to offer the best to the customer and, once again, passengers can enjoy the ease of Brazilians and Argentines only needing an identity document to travel between the two countries. In addition, we see the importance of air transport to increasingly boost the economy and tourism in the region”, says Stephane Perard, director general of Emirates in Brazil.

Emirates flight EK247 will depart Dubai (DXB) at 08:05 local time and arrive in Rio de Janeiro (GIG) at 15:25 local time. The flight will then depart Rio de Janeiro at 5:10 pm local time and arrive in Buenos Aires (EZE) at 8:40 pm local time.

On the way back, Emirates flight EK248 will depart Buenos Aires at 10:20 pm local time and arrive in Rio de Janeiro at 1:10 am the following day. The flight will depart at 2:55 am local time from Rio de Janeiro and arrive in Dubai at 11:35 pm local time.
