The Chinese government once again promised to present its first stealth bomber, known by the acronym H-20.
In an interview with the state-owned newspaper Hong Kong Commercial Daily, the deputy commander of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force stated that the mysterious aircraft is close to being unraveled. “It’s coming soon, just wait!” said Wang Wei.
The United States, Russia and China are developing advanced stealth bombers, but only the US Air Force has unveiled its new aircraft, the B-21 Raider, manufactured by Northrop Grumman.

Russia has for years claimed that the PAK-DA project is progressing, but a lack of resources and Western sanctions may have put the program on the back burner amid the conflict with Ukraine.
Own safety
China, which already has a 5th generation fighter in service, the J-20, and another being developed (J-35), revealed in 2016 that it was designing the bomber, a replacement for the old H-6 aircraft, based on the Russian Tupolev Tu-16.
Although the country has thwarted other announcements of the aircraft’s unveiling, Wang Wei denied that there are problems in its development.
Under the control of Xian, the H-20 has enormous strategic potential as it is capable of attacking targets at long range. According to rumors, it will have a payload of 45 tons and a range of 8,500 km, enough to reach the United States if refueled in flight.
Despite this, Wei denied any rivalry between the superpowers. “We don’t compete with the United States, we only protect our own safety.”
