Korean Air confirmed the predictions and became a potential new customer for the 777X. The South Korean carrier and Boeing announced their intention to purchase 20 777-9 widebodies at Farnborough.
The pre-agreement is broader and also includes 20 787-10s and purchase options for another ten Dreamliners.
The two companies have not antecipate when the order will actually be made official, but only when this will happen will it appear on the Boeing Orders and Deliveries website.

Previous Airbus A350 order
A major operator of Boeing aircraft, Korean Air had surprised at the beginning of the year by ordering 33 A350-900s from Airbus.
But shortly after, rumors about an agreement with Boeing for the 777X began to circulate in the market.
The Asian airline is in the midst of a major expansion plan that includes taking control of competitor Asiana.
