LATAM Airlines said it has secured orders for more than 120 aircraft by 2030, including purchase commitments with Airbus and Boeing and also leasing contracts.
A carrier headquartered in Chile, but whose largest operation is in Brazil, LATAM also celebrated the growth of its aircraft fleet by 12% in the last two years, a total of 30 new jets.
The new aircraft are Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A320neo models and their derivatives. The airline recently secured a new agreement for 10 787-9 widebodies.

“In a global context of aircraft and parts shortages, we are managing to efficiently expand and renew our fleet, ensuring that more people can fly to and from the region as we advance on LATAM’s path to net zero emissions,” said Sebastián Acuto, Director of Fleet and Projects for LATAM Airlines Group.

LATAM has also undertaken a cabin renovation program that has already reached 100% of its single-aisle jets and 57% of its widebody fleet.
The aircraft also began offering free Wi-Fi on domestic flights in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador.
The cargo division, in turn, reached a fleet of 21 aircraft after the completion of the conversion plan for old passenger aircraft such as the Boeing 767.
Currently, the LATAM Group has 347 aircraft, including 56 widebodies (767, 777 and 787) and 268 narrowbodies, including the A319, A320ceo, A320neo, A321ceo and A321neo models, two Airbuses leased in the short term and 21 freighters.
