In May, LOT signed a leasing contract with Azorra to have three E195-E2s, the largest variant of Embraer’s E2 jet family.
The first of these planes is expected to be delivered at the end of July, followed by the second in August and the last in September.
The aircraft were to have been delivered to Malaysia’s SKS Airways, according to reports. The airline, however, has reportedly canceled a leasing agreement with Azorra for ten E195-E2s, according to local media.
LOT’s first two E195-E2s were seen at Embraer’s headquarters in Brazil in June. One of them was spotted by Money.pl ready, but without the Pratt & Whitney GTF engines. The second plane was on the final assembly line.
LOT Polish Airlines is one of the largest E-Jets operators in the world, with 41 aircraft. There are five E170s, 13 E175s, eight E190s and 15 E195s.
The carrier is also in the process of deciding on an order for new regional jets and is evaluating both the E2 and the Airbus A220.
