“Boeing aircraft have been an integral part of our operations since Pegasus entered the aviation industry in 1990. We are pleased to be expanding our fleet with the new Boeing 737-10 model aircraft,” said Güliz Öztürk, CEO of Pegasus Airlines.
Airbus fleet
Pegasus currently has 118 jets in its fleet, the vast majority of which are from the Airbus A320 family, including the Neo variants that rival the MAX series.
There are 57 A321neo, 46 A320neo, six A320ceo and nine 737-800 in service. The 737-10 variant chosen by the airline can carry up to 230 passengers and is a competitor to the A321neo.
The low-cost carrier operates a network of flights based mainly at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, which was opened in 2001 to relieve pressure on Atatürk Airport at the time.
Pegasus’ main destinations are in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia.
