Lufthansa Cargo took delivery of its 18th Boeing 777F on August 17, a new aircraft that flew from Everett, USA, to Frankfurt.
It is the first jet of the type to be delivered to Lufthansa’s freighter division in almost three years. According to records, the company had received another 777F in September 2021.
The aircraft registered D-ALFL was named “¡Hola Argentina!” as part of the “Say hello around the world” marketing strategy.

“We are delighted to welcome another efficient freighter to our fleet. This will allow us to provide our customers with additional capacity, continue to grow in the air freight market and enable global business. This means that we can align our network even more closely with our customers’ needs and also offer solutions to market changes at short notice. In addition, the B777F remains the most efficient and modern freighter in its class. Our latest aircraft is therefore another important investment in our modern long-haul fleet and contributing in making air cargo more sustainable,” explains Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthan sa Cargo.
Lufthansa Cargo currently operates 12 of its own 777Fs in addition to six aircraft of the same type by AeroLogic, a joint venture with DHL.
Additionally, there are four A321 freighters used on short and medium-haul routes.
These aircraft will soon start flying from the Munich hub, expanding the company’s capacity.
