Embraer carried out demonstration flights of the C-390 Millennium airlifter with the Royal Moroccan Air Force, local media reported.

The flights took place on February 24, according to data from FlightRadar24. The aircraft, registered PT-ZNG, used by Embraer for presentations, remained in the country for three days before returning to Brazil.

The C-390 completed three flights in Morocco, one of them from Rabat, where the country’s armed forces headquarters are located, and from Kenitra Air Base, where the old C-130 Hercules are currently based and will be replaced in the future.

Morocco’s acquisition of the C-390 Millennium has been rumored for some time and gained momentum after the African country’s flag appeared at an Embraer presentation during an event for aircraft operators last year.

Reports also indicate that Moroccan officials visited OGMA, Embraer’s subsidiary in Portugal, last year.

The Moroccan Air Force currently has 14 C-130H turboprops and two KC-130H tankers in its fleet, but their operational status is not known.

Visit to Greece

The KC-390 PT-ZNG had left Embraer’s facilities in early February to participate in Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru, with an eye on the Indian Air Force’s MTA competition.

The aircraft then went to Abu Dhabi for another event, IDEX 2025, where it was on static display for a few days.

After a stopover in Egypt, the Millennium arrived in Athens, Greece, whose air force is also evaluating its purchase. Two demonstration flights were carried out on the occasion from the Greek capital.
