A new customer for the E195-E2, the largest Brazilian commercial aircraft, the carrier TUI Airlines Belgium, has signed a support services agreement with Embraer.
Through the Pool program, the airline will have access to component exchanges and repair services performed by the manufacturer and its maintenance network.
According to Embraer, the package includes support for more than 340 components, in addition to interchangeable items.
“It’s a pleasure for Embraer to have TUI on board the Pool Program. Beyond having access to all Embraer’s spare parts inventory, TUI will count on the OEM’s expertise to support its E2 fleet,” said Danielle Vardaro, Vice-President of Worldwide Customer Support and Aftermarket Sales, Commercial Aviation, Embraer Services & Support.
The Pool program is a differential of the Brazilian manufacturer as it allows its customers to minimize inventories and repair items whose value is high. Thanks to this, these airlines can focus their investments on the operation while guaranteeing the availability of aircraft for flights.
In addition to avoiding initial expenses, the program also allows for the reduction of areas suitable for storage and the resources needed to manage repairs.
TUI signed a contract with AerCap for the leasing of three E195-E2s, which will be configured with 136 seats. The aircraft are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2023.
