Porter Airlines announced its first routes to California on Tuesday from Toronto, Canada. The new flights will begin in January and will be operated with the airline’s new Embraer E195-E2 jets.
The two daily flights between Toronto (Pearson) Los Angeles (one in each direction) will begin on January 16, 2024 while connections between Toronto and San Francisco are scheduled to debut on January 25.
Porter Airlines is expanding its route network in North America after selecting the E195-E2, Embraer’s largest commercial jet, which is configured with 132 seats.

The company proposes a service that includes free WiFi, a selection of premium snacks with drinks such as beer and wine included, among others. The prices charged for air tickets, however, are affordable, guarantees Porter.
In addition to flying within Canada with the E195-E2s, Porter is beginning its first flights to Florida during the fall.
“Porter’s onboard experience focuses on providing economy travelers with service that is unmatched by any carrier in North America. We believe that every passenger deserves genuine hospitality and high-quality service that makes time onboard our aircraft something to look forward to. Our arrival in California will be welcomed by those looking for a new way to travel between the west coast and Canada,” said Kevin Jackson, CCO, Porter Airlines.
Porter Airlines currently has 19 of 50 E195-E2 jets on order from Embraer.
