With the two cities, Qatar now serves 16 cities in the Americas, including destinations such as Dallas, Miami, New York City, São Paulo, and Toronto.
“The launch of flights to Bogotá and Caracas marks a transformative moment for Qatar Airways and for travelers to South America. As the first airline to offer nonstop service from the Middle East to Colombia and the only Middle Eastern carrier flying to Venezuela, we are creating new opportunities to connect people, cultures, and commerce,” said Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.
Qatar is the second airline in the Middle East to operate flights to Bogotá, after Emirates.
Qatar is the first airline in the region to operate flights to the Venezuelan capital. The flights will compete with Turkish Airlines’ services to the two cities and with Emirates itself.
