Riyadh Air presented on Sunday how it will be one of two liveries to be used on its planes.. The new carrier from Saudi Arabia published a video and photos of a Boeing 787-9 already with the paint applied in the United States.
With the ambition to rival airlines such as Emirates, Etihad and Qatar, Riyadh Air already differentiates itself by painting it all in dark blue, with the tail in a lighter shade of blue and a graphic on the back of the fuselage.

It is not yet clear whether this scheme will be special or the standard applied to the jets that will be operated by the airline founded by the Saudi government.
The 787-9 Dreamliner shown in the images, provisionally registered N8572C, was originally supposed to be delivered to Mongolian Airlines and first flew in May 2022.

According to Flight Global, the carrier’s Dreamliner will be featured in static form at the Paris Air Show this month.
Riyadh Air was launched by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and has closed a firm order for 39 787-9s with Boeing. The airline later confirmed another 33 purchase options.
Boeing is quoted to receive another bulky order soon, this time for 737 MAX jets. Riyadh Air’s debut is planned for 2025 and the company’s goal is to serve 100 destinations by 2030.
