Embraer revealed that it has an agreement to supply a training solution for the five C-390 Millennium aircraft ordered by the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
According to the company, an advanced simulator and a loadmaster training station, developed in partnership with Rheinmetall, and a computer-based training station (CBT), which had the collaboration with ETI, will be supplied.
All systems are expected to be operational by the end of 2026.
The C-390 simulator has Level-D qualification, which offers realism in normal and emergency conditions, including more than 350 simulations of critical scenarios.

Created to support military operations, the equipment is recognized for its easy maintenance and comfort for pilot training.
“The C-390 training devices will enable the Royal Netherlands Air Force to prepare and train their missions in a more realistic environment. We are committed, together with our partner Embraer, to provide the best training systems and services for C-390 for the years to come.” adds Stefan Klaes, Rheinmetall’s Head of Sales, Aviation Systems.
The agreement also includes a dedicated Loadmaster Training Station (CHST), providing detailed training for crews in loading and unloading procedures.
With state-of-the-art visualization technology, the system provides an internal view of the cargo compartment and a complete external view of the aircraft, which facilitates training in realistic operations.
The computer-based training (CBT) station allows pilots, loadmasters and maintenance teams to access theoretical training on the C-390 aircraft. The learning management system (LMS) used is SCORM-compatible, which offers flexibility and quality in the ongoing training of all those involved in operations.
