United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the parent company of Russia’s leading aircraft manufacturers, announced two significant deals for over 280 of its commercial aircraft at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
The largest of these was agreed with the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) and envisages the supply of 132 SJ100 (SuperJet) aircraft, 65 Il-114-300 regional turboprops and 41 Tu-214 jets.
The schedule calls for delivery of the aircraft between 2027 and 2032, but is still subject to the signing of firm orders.

“We are already a key supplier for regional aviation and we see a high demand from carriers for domestic aircraft with modern modifications,” said Evgeniy Dietrich, General Director of STLC.
“Our interaction with STLC will contribute to the implementation of the import substitution strategy, meeting the needs of airlines for domestic aircraft and ensuring transport accessibility and connectivity of Russian regions,” added UAC General Director Yuri Slyusar.
STLC, like UAC, is a state-owned company and is expected to rely on financial resources from the National Welfare Fund (NWF) to offer a more affordable leasing rate for Russian air carriers.
Former Aeroflot subsidiary to lease 45 MC-21s
At the same event, Smartavia, a low-cost airline based in Arkhangelsk, announced a preliminary agreement with UAC to add 45 MC-21 narrow-body jets.
The aircraft are expected to replace the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 currently in service use, but no date has been announced for the start of deliveries.
The jets will be leased by a Russian leasing company and are expected to be delivered by 2035.
Smartavia is a private airline that was founded in 1963, but its controlling interest was acquired by Aeroflot in 2004.
Seven years later, the Russian flag carrier sold its stake, when it was already called Nordavia. In 2019, it was renamed Smartavia.
The fleet currently consists of 11 Boeing 737NGs and two Airbus A320neos.
