Scoot Airlines’ first Embraer E190-E2 jet is expected to land in Singapore in April, the company revealed to The Strait Times.
The regional aircraft is the first for the budget carrier owned by Singapore Airlines, currently flying a mix of Airbus A320, A321 and Boeing 787 jets.
According to the Singapore outlet, the E190-E2 will debut in May for destinations within Southeast Asia.

The schedule is a little later than the previous forecast, which established March as the target for delivery of the first aircraft.

Scoot Airlines has a nine E190-E2 leasing agreement with Azorra signed in May 2023.
Five jets will be delivered this year and the rest in 2025. The E190-E2 is the intermediate variant of the E2 family, with capacity for up to 114 passengers and a range of 2,850 nm (5,278 km).
To provide training for Scoot crew members, Embraer and CAE opened a flight simulator in Singapore last week.
The facility is also expected to be used by pilots from SKS Airways, a Malaysian airline that has ordered 10 E195-E2s whose first plane is expected to be delivered in the second quarter.
The two carriers will be responsible for the debut of Embraer’s new family of commercial jets in Southeast Asia, a market where the company has great ambitions.
