SKY Airline debuts new flights connecting Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay

Routes include connections from Salvador to Montevideo and Salvador to Santiago, Chile, alongside the flight between Florianopolis and Lima, Peru, with a stopover in the Uruguayan capital

SKY Airline inaugurated new routes connecting Salvador and Florianopolis, in Brazil, to Montevideo, with connections in Santiago, Chile, and Lima, Peru. The flights commenced on January 2, 2024.

SKY Airline’s direct flights departed from Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport in Salvador, Bahia, to Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo. Flight SKY 641 departed from Salvador at 1:30 PM, landing in Santiago, Chile, at 7:05 PM.

The Salvador-Montevideo-Santiago route will operate three times a week, scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Additionally, SKY Airline commenced operations on the Florianopolis-Montevideo route, departing from Hercílio Luz International Airport at 1:50 AM. The inaugural flight carried 185 passengers (99% occupancy) to Montevideo, continuing to Lima, Peru.

The Florianopolis-Montevideo-Lima route will be operated three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, departing from Florianopolis at 1:50 AM, arriving in Montevideo at 3:50 AM, and departing for Lima at 4:45 AM.

Eight Airlines in Florianopolis

With SKY Airline’s new flight, international routes departing from Florianopolis, in south region of Brazil, now reach six destinations: Buenos Aires, Santiago, Montevideo, Lima, Asuncion, and Cordoba, served by a total of eight airlines.

Zurich Airport Brazil, the terminal’s concessionaire, anticipates an 83% increase in international traffic this season compared to the pre-pandemic period.
