Textron Aviation has won the first order for a Cessna SkyCourier in Indonesia. The company PT Smart Aviation has reached an agreement to have a passenger variant of the twin engine in addition to four Grand Caravan EX.
The signing of the acquisition contract took place at the Singapore Airshow in February, but was announced by Textron on Tuesday, March 5th.
The new aircraft will be delivered from 2026 and will join the 23 aircraft in its fleet, which includes another 16 Caravan.

PT Smart operates charter flights in remote locations in Indonesia in addition to providing aeromapping and weather modification services.
In service since May 2022, the SkyCourier is a multi-role aircraft with cargo and passenger versions with up to 19 seats.
Equipped with PT-6 engines, the Cessna 408 has a high wing, fixed gear and a fuselage with a rectangular section capable of accommodating up to 6,000 pounds of payload.
To date, Textron has delivered the SkyCourier only to operators in the United States, a total of 24 aircraft, most of them to FedEx, the type’s launch customer.
