T’Way Air will be the new operator of the widebody A330-900 from Airbus. The South Korean low-cost carrier has signed a leasing agreement for five aircraft with Avolon.
According to the lessor, the jets will be delivered from 2026 and will allow the expansion of the flight network that currently comprises 55 destinations.
Founded as Hansung Airlines in 2005, the company changed its name in 2010 and today has a fleet of 36 aircraft, seven of which are first-generation A330s, some of which are leased by Avolon.

T’Way will be the 12th A330neo operator in Avolon’s customer base, which has 29 orders for the aircraft from Airbus.
The lessor expects that the remaining widebody delivery slots through 2030 will be filled by the end of this year, making modernization for some airlines a difficult task.
“The widebody production recovery is lagging behind narrowbodies resulting in a tighter market and longer wait times for widebody aircraft,” Avolon said.
“We have forged a strong relationship with Avolon and partnering on these new A330neos is an important next step in our growth ambitions. With 55 destinations and plans to expand our network the aircraft will help us in our mission to offer passengers exceptional service, reliability and value,” said Hong Geun Jeong, Representative Director, T’way Air.
