Ural Airlines has begun dismantling the Airbus A320 that made an emergency landing on September 12, 2023, in a wheat field in the Novosibirsk region.
The aircraft, registration RA-73805, suffered a hydraulic failure and after running out of fuel, the crew decided to land it in a field, which was successful. However, there was no way to remove it from the site and even an improvised takeoff was considered.
In April, the airline abandoned plans to salvage the jet and instead decided to dismantle it and use its parts that are still in good condition.

The plan is for the work to be completed by December, Ural told TASS.
Recall the incident
The A320, registration RA-73805, was carrying out flight U63183 between Sochi and Omsk on September 11, 2023, however, it suffered a loss of hydraulic system and the crew decided to switch to Novosibirsk Airport, which has a longer runway.
The aircraft ran out of fuel before reaching the airport and made an emergency landing about 185 km from Novosibirsk.
The six crew members and 159 passengers were not injured.
The jet first flew in February 2004 and was originally delivered to Air Arabia via lease from ILFC. In 2013, the A320 was transferred to Ural Airlines, still under lease.
Due to the long stay in the wheat field, Ural agreed on a monthly rent with the owner of the property, in addition to fencing it and maintaining surveillance on site to prevent theft.
