“Part of what differentiates Azul in the Brazilian market is the best-in-class connectivity experience we offer on select aircraft,” said Jason Ward, Azul’s Chief People and Customer Officer.
“After several successful years of serving Azul passengers in Brazil, we are excited to work with Azul to expand our onboard connectivity to even more aircraft,” said Don Buchman, VP and GM, Commercial Aviation at Viasat
Viasat also revealed that it is working with Azul to enhance passengers’ Wi-Fi experience with ad-supported streaming sessions using its proprietary advertising platform.
The two companies have maintained a partnership since 2021, when Azul became the first South American customer of Viasat’s in-flight entertainment system and free on-board internet, in partnership with the company Telebras, which owns the SGDC-1 satellite.
