Embraer managed to increase commercial aircraft deliveries by 50% in the 3rd quarter of 2023 compared to the same time period last year.
There were 15 jets, six of the E175 model and nine of the E195-E2, bringing the total number of commercial aircraft delivered in 2023 to 39 units.
It is the highest number of deliveries since 2019 when 54 jets were sent to customers, in the last year before the Covid-19 pandemic.
E2 jets lead deliveries until September, with 21 aircraft. There were 15 E195-E2s for Porter Airlines, four for KLM Cityhopper and two for Azul Linhas Aéreas.
The E175, Embraer’s most popular commercial aircraft, had 18 deliveries, nine to Republic Airways (United Express), eight to Horizon Air (Alaska Airlines) and a single plane to Overland Airways, from Nigeria.
Overland’s E175, however, only flew for its customer on October 7, so it was not counted in the research carried out by ADN and published last week.
The new E2 family of commercial aircraft has achieved a total of 90 deliveries since 2018, when the first E190-E2 was delivered to Norwegian carrier Widerøe.
